IKKS MEN'S TIPS
1. 3 COLOURS MAX
A sophisticated look will have a maximum of 3 neutral colours, for example black, white and grey.
The other variant is to put 2 neutral colours together with 1 strong colour, for example grey with white, plus camel.
For an easy, very smart look, go for head-to-toe black or blue.

2. GO FOR PLAIN COLOURS
White, black, blue, grey, beige, camel and green are really easy colours to wear. If you can only choose one, go for navy blue. Intense and deep, its plain elegance mean it goes with all the other colours in the men’s wardrobe, whatever your skin colour.

3. TEST DARK ON LIGHT
When putting light and dark colours together, the rule is that clothes worn closer to the body should always be brighter, to create a studied contrast. Wear a navy blue jacket over a sky blue or white shirt, not the other way round. The exception is light grey or beige coats which can be worn over head-to-toe black.

4. TRY SHADES OF THE SAME COLOUR
Try several similar shades of the same colour to create a shaded effect. With blue, you can match navy, indigo, cobalt, sky and steel blue. Try also with greys or beiges.

5. STRIKE A MONOCHROME LOOK
Avoid fashion faux pas by going for a monochrome look. Try a head-to-toe black or navy blue look, a safe bet on any occasion.

6. PLAY WITH STRONG PIECES
To liven up a look, there's nothing better than a strong piece. A checked coat, leather jacket or perfectly fitted trench coat all add strength and contrast to a plain look.

7 – PLAY AROUND WITH PATTERNS
Time for patterns. Camouflage or stripes, polka dots or checks, minimalist, graphic or floral print, try them out. Start with the shirt, then carry on with a jacket, blazer or trousers. You're the style expert.

8 – Be inspired by others
Fashion is a series of endless repeats. Follow your instinct: be inspired by the looks you like and go to our website to discover the looks in the IKKS Men's collection.

Choose the colours of your clothes that go together

So your clothes go together stylishly, the number 1 rule is never to wear more than 3 colours at the same time, and for men to wear mostly neutral colours.

When colour matching, if you go for a dark-coloured jacket, choose a light-coloured T-shirt or shirt. You can also play with colour shades to avoid fashion faux pas.
Finally, if you want to attract attention and stand out from the crowd, go for a strong piece to boost your style, such as a patterned shirt.
